The H2Ornets

Your H2ORNETS had an impressive season, full of newcomers and veterans. The girls have had a strong start to the season, being led by two very experienced swimmers, Seniors Maria Miller and Yenna Park.  Yenna’s exceptional talent caught the eye of many distinguished college coaches, and now she is committed to Army West Point for swim. The team was able to “adopt” (as Maria Millers phrases it) freshman Hillary Bunger and sophomore Ana Miller. The team had a great season! After competing in regular season meets, Yenna and Will Harmon were able to take their talent to state competitions, as they qualified in numerous events. Newcomer Sawyer Tarr, a member of the boys’ relay team, was mere seconds off from the state cut-off time during their first-ever meet. With no surprise, water polo Wednesdays remained a fan favorite of the team. Overall, the SCD swim team truly showed out with their short season of three meets.  Go Hornets!
