The Savannah Country Day Men’s soccer team has had an amazing season. They are undefeated and have won two games in the state playoffs, advancing to the elite 8. The soccer team won various region rivalry games against Benedictine and Savannah Christian. They secured the region championship this season without being scored on once. The team this year has 8 seniors training the underclassmen and acting as a foundation for the teams beaming success. Captain Madden Gerlach and Athon Herrin have shown leadership both on and off the field. They keep everyone in line making sure everyone takes all practices and games seriously, no matter the opponent. In the Sweet 16, the boys played Richmond Academy at home and secured a 4-0 win. We are very excited to see how they do in the remainder of the state tournament and wish them good luck. Go Hornets!
