Country Day Lacrosse

Country+Day+Lacrosse

The Country Day Hornets Lacrosse team just finished their regular season with an impressive 11-7 record. With a pretty young team this year, seniors Sam Bueno and Sawyer Tarr led us to wins against multiple competitive teams like Porter Gaud, which we beat for the first time in team history with an overtime game winner from freshman Connor Hartley. This is also the team’s first year with Coach Taylor Brown who has helped our program evolve into what it is today. Additionally, in the region, the Hornets were very successful as we suffered one loss and embarrassed our hometown rivals such as Savannah Christian (17-2), Calvary (10-4), and Islands (22-3). Finally, with the end of the regular season comes the beginning of the Playoffs. The Country Day Lacrosse team played against East Forsyth during perfect Lax Weather on Wednesday, April 24th on Saunders Field and accumulated an outstanding win of 14-6. The Hornets will advance in the state playoffs, and we wish them luck in the remainder of their season. Go Hornets!
