Game Review: Hay Day

Game: Hay Day

For those of you who know, the Hay Day Club is the most popular club at Country Day right now. For those of you who don’t know, Hayday is a super fun farming game with cute animals, crop management, and allows you a taste of true independence by running your own farm.

Gameplay (4/5): Playing Hay Day is, frankly, a piece of cake. You start with a rundown farm and your only job is to bring it up from there. You grow crops, unlocking more with each level, raise animals, and produce finished products to give to the people in town. You can plant anything from wheat and corn to pumpkins and cotton, and take care of sheep, pigs, chickens, goats, and more!

Graphics (3/5): The graphics are super cute and colorful, and everything is extremely adorable, especially your little animals (who looks especially huggable). It’s visually pleasing and you’ll really enjoy the break on your eyes.

In-Game Purchases (2/5): Luckily, Hay Day is not pay-to-win, but there are in-game purchases that speed up your progress. It’s not the hugest deal, but not having things like a full Farm Pass and lacking the diamonds to make use of every opportunity can definitely be annoying at times.

Fun Factor (5/5): This game is a total blast, especially if you’re into tycoon, simulation, and management games. You can trade with other players, join a neighborhood (shout out to KittenKweens), go fishing, and eventually unlock the railroad! There’s always something to do on your farm, and its not very hard to find yourself playing for hours.

Overall (4/5): Hay Day is super fun and a great way to relax after a long day of Hamlet readings and debates in Government. You’ll constantly find yourself coming back to your farm to check in on it. Give it a go and see how awesome your farm can become!
