Cost: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The cost is about $40, which is pretty good value for the game you’re getting.

Gameplay: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The gameplay is similar to Dark Souls- or so I’ve been told- and is decently challenging. You can play on either a controller or keyboard and while my brother took his X-box controllers when he went to college, playing on the keyboard isn’t that challenging. It also has a variety of difficulties if you’re like me and not very good at this whole “dodging” business. As the game continues, you unlock more and more abilities, and while you can unlock them all, you get a lot of freedom to choose which abilities you want. After you finish the main story, you can still go through and fight enemies, and it even gives you a dojo-like option where you can fight whichever enemies you want.

All in all, fairly solid gameplay and you have a decent amount of customization over your character, although it lacks variety in the clothing department.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Even if you’re like me, and don’t know very much about Star Wars, the story of Fallen Order is told well enough that it makes sense even without any extra information. While I won’t spoil the story, Cal Kestis, the main character, is the perfect amount of enjoyable to make watching him, and you, succeed very satisfying.

Characters: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The characters are all pretty good, and fun to watch interact with one another. Your POV character is, like I said earlier, very likable, and helping him to succeed feels good. The extended cast is pretty solid, from the funny pilot to the secretive mentor, and the villains are also pretty compelling, although admittedly some more than others. It can be pretty easy to get attached (especially to the cute little robot), and watching them all together is fun.

Verdict: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Admittedly, this game feels pretty niche, but if you’re into Dark Souls-type combat or Star Wars in general, then this is a no-brainer. If you aren’t slightly into either of those, then the game might not be a great fit for you, but I ended up really enjoying playing this game.
