The Hornet’s cross-country team has had a great season so far. The Frazier-Hite invitational was the first race of the year for the team. At the meet, the girl’s team placed 3rd overall, and senior John Ryan placed 1st overall. Both the varsity boys and girls teams did well at their other meets this season. For example, at the Raider cross country invitational, John Ryan placed 1st overall for the boys, and Senior, Sarah Jane Schulze, placed 9th overall in the girl’s division. The cross-country team has one more regular season meet before regionals. This race is the Savannah Private School Champions race on October 22, so mark your calendars and come and show your support for our speedy Hornets. After that race, the team will head off to regionals on October 27, where many Hornet runners are expected to qualify for the state championship on November 5th.
