Gabe McKinney and the Hornet Baseball Team are showing promise this year. The Hornets are currently 6-4 in the region and 12-14 on the season. Gabe, otherwise known as the hefty lefty, is batting .169 and has 10 hits on the season. While McKinney does shine offensively, his real strength is found on the mound. In the 8 games he has pitched this year, Gabe has only allowed 13 hits and 8 runs. He has struck out 14 batters and flexes an ERA of 2.625. Everyone is excited to see what the rest of Gabe’s career will become.
