This year, the tennis season officially kicked off late January for girls, who had their first match February ninth. The varsity team has been practicing twice a week, and the junior varsity team practices on Fridays–when it isn’t raining; only varsity plays matches, though. With a group of great players, the team took home countless wins, playing everyone from Savannah Arts to Calvary to South Effingham. They even went on an overnight trip to play a Jekyll Jam on the twenty-fourth and the twenty-fifth of February. So far, they’ve won eighteen matches and have lost two with the lead coach Mrs. Carrie Vetrovsky. Now, the season is coming to a close with States.
