Campus Life

The Savannah Country Day campus is one of the most prepossessing sites in Savannah. This sixty five acre campus accommodates babies through twelfth grade students. The Savannah Country Day Upper School is both an educational and athletic community, with around 350 students in total. The parents and grandparents of current students, along with the hundreds of dedicated faculty and staff members, hold a concrete position in this beautiful campus, with central roles in their recent growth.

Hundreds of trees surround this environmentally safe campus, and more are regularly planted by the highschool “Tree Club.” In the last few years, money was donated to the school so that a new building, Mingledorf Hall, could be built. The space for this new, modern building was made via the demolition of the old library building. The Hall is a STEM building, where math and science classes are held exclusively. Even the new library, a popular hangout spot for the students, is a far better replacement- with many more places for working when compared to the previous library.

Another old building, Minus, is also being renovated. Scheduled to be completed before the new school year, Country Day will have enough room for all the humanities classes, while still having extra space for student studying areas. By the end of the next few years, students will not have to walk to the Modulars (an old set of buildings separate from the main Quad) anymore!
